Swift quickly rose up the ranks, starting as a child actor before performing in front of a huge crowd. Swift started writing songs at the age of 11. Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Swift got the inspiration to write her own material by the music of country genre, such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was 13 when her parents decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her energy to approaching country labels located in Nashville.
